A few of my favorite things

Fridays should be fun.

I’m doing my best!

I woke up nice and early for the triathlon club spin class. I was surprised at how many spinners came out and joined me bright and early. Whooh! The class was actually fun — teaching extra motivated people helps! :)

I spent my morning eating bacon, cleaning, and catching up on things that needed my attention. My to do list is still long but I certainly put a dent in it!

This afternoon’s activities were awesome. Crossfit today involved some Olympic lifting (attempts anyway), some front squats (I’m assured that I’ll grow to love these), and an extra sweaty met con…400m run/50 burpees/400m run (7:19). I needed to lay down after but I am sporting some sick bumps from throwing myself at the turf. War wounds rock.

I’ve been snacking on turkey jerky and ha an apple this afternoon. I went for a super relaxing deep tissue massage. I’ve got a new massage therapist and am absolutely loving it–not that I don’t miss my old gal. I laughed a lot and the knots in my shoulders are a little less knotty now. Bliss.

Now I’m taking the afternoon to myself–texts, laundry, freelance writing can wait. You better believe I’m at Starbucks with my journal, some light and some not so light reading (oops I bought a magazine ;) !) and an Americano with my name on it.

Ready. Set. RELAX!

Tonight I’m not sure what my plan is. I mostly want my pjs and am looking forward to an early trail run in the morning before a full day of work and then heading home…

About that relaxing…
